I purchased and assembled two of them for my home office. The quality is excellent, and once assembled it is very sturdy-not like the cheap desks I saw at Staples. The glass top measures 47.5" by 23.75" and is 5/16" thick. You can choose to install the printer platform or not, however, I like the way it gets the printer up and out of the way. Both of my printers hang over the edge of the platform a little but are firmly in place. Assembly instructions are right on and assembly is very easy. Note these desks were made for flat screen monitors, my CRT takes up too much desk space. You will find this exact same desk for $[...] more at other websites. Packaging was better than most; secure and without dents or broken pieces. Assembly directions were easy to understand and follow and all the needed pieces were appropriately labeled. This desk is sturdy, the keyboard tray is steady when typing, and having an extra off the floor modem piece is helpful. Because of the glass top it appears to take up very little space in the room. This review is from: Modern Glass & Steel Frame Computer Desk (Kitchen) Easy to put together and solid. My two issues with the design are the following: - They keyboard tray is too small to fit my mouse-pad along with my keyboard like my old desk. - The desk doesn't extend beyond the where the leg ends in the back, so I have more of a gap between the back of the desk and my wall than I would like (granted it's only a couple inches, mainly due to baseboard). Both the stand for the printer and the stand for the computer are too small for my printer and case respectively. I expected this though, so it is not a big deal.
