First, what sold this desk to me was the storage potential. I loved that it looked like a big, deep drawer, and I even watched the video on the manufacturer's website. In the description, it says "Large pull-out drawer has plenty of room for supplies." To me, this was misrepresented. The drawer does not go back nearly to the back of the desk as it easily could have. Second, I'm not sure what kind of printer does fit on the bottom shelf, but mine does not. Actually, technically, mine does, but there is no way I can sit at the desk and have the printer underneath which was a big disappointment. Finally, it is fairly cheaply made (I realize you get what you pay for, and I only paid $100, but still...). When I put it together one of the screws came up through the bottom shelf. It looks great & holds our 23" flat screen monitor perfectly, fits just under the top shelf. The bottom shelf is the perfect size for the bass speaker & modem, maybe a small printer. The top shelf holds the smaller speakers & maybe some decorative bits or books. The desk space itself is HUGE for a "small" desk & the drawer is perfect for computer software, CD's, & USB cords for devices. It would also fit a laptop, netbook, or keyboard. The instructions were clear and it took me almost 2 hours to do it. It was well worth it! The desk looks sturdy enough, although I don't know how you could fit a printer on the lower shelf. All in all, I'd say it's worth the money. |
